Praia de Santa Eulália

Location: undefined, central Algarve

The greenest beach in Albufeira, surrounded by pine and palm trees that give it a distinctive Mediterranean feel. Excellent accessibility features, calm waters, and a less crowded atmosphere make this a perfect family beach.

Praia de Santa Eulália stands out among Albufeira's beaches for its lush, green setting. Surrounded by low cliffs covered in pine and palm trees, this beach has a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere that sets it apart from the more developed stretches closer to the town center. The beach is particularly notable for its accessibility. A ramp leads from the car park to the sand, and a wooden boardwalk extends across the beach, making it one of the most accessible beaches in the Algarve for visitors with reduced mobility. The designated parking bays and adapted facilities demonstrate a commitment to welcoming all visitors. The golden sand stretches wide, backed by attractive golden cliffs with various nooks and crannies created by rock formations. A seasonal watercourse runs down to the sea on the western side, though it's dry most of the year. The sea here is notably calm, with a gentle slope that makes it ideal for children—the water doesn't get deep quickly, allowing safe paddling and castle-building. Despite being just 4km from Albufeira center, Santa Eulália maintains a more relaxed atmosphere than the busier Praia da Oura to the west. A traditional restaurant specializing in fresh grilled fish overlooks the beach, and water sports equipment is available for rent during summer.
