Praia do Amado

Praia do Amado is one of Portugal's premier surf beaches, located on the untamed west coast of the Algarve within the pristine Costa Vicentina Natural Park. This gorgeous beach near the village of Carrapateira is recognized as one of the best and most consistent surf spots in Europe, delivering rideable waves virtually every day of the year. The secret to Amado's consistency lies in its geography. The wide sandy bay is open to all Atlantic swells while the surrounding cliffs provide crucial shelter from the dominant north winds, especially during summer.
